Gayatri is a team of independent digital experts who help customers stand out online.
To set themselves apart in the competitive digital agency market in India, Gayatri focuses on tailor-made digital strategies and exclusively serves new-age brands and influencers. Recognizing the strong cultural connection that modern Indians have with their heritage, Gayatri deliberately chose their name from the Hindu goddess of wisdom. As the sole designer in this collective, I was entrusted to create a brand identity for Gayatri.
The logo draws inspiration from the bindi, an ornamental mark worn by Indian women. This bright red mark serves as a reflection of one’s values and identity. To complement its elegance and heritage, we chose a decorative serif font for the logo type.
We also created a mark by merging the letter 'g' with the bindi. This ensures scalability across different applications.
The visual identity also includes handwritten exclusive headlines, emphasizing the brand's focus on individuality. To streamline the creation of these headlines, a specialized tool was designed that generates unique handwriting by adapting an existing model of handwriting synthesis with RNNs. This ensures consistency and convenience when creating these headlines.
